We’re Hiring: Customs Specialist | Singapore
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Customs Specialist to join their Singapore operations and support international trade, export documentation, customs clearance and logistics coordination.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of experience in customs, export operations, logistics or international trade who wants to develop their career in a fast-paced international business environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Export Documentation & Customs Clearance
Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates, customs declarations and supporting documents.
Coordinate export customs clearance and ensure compliance with Singapore Customs requirements.
Verify shipment documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
Shipment & Logistics Coordination
Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate export declarations, customs clearance and delivery arrangements.
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, factories and internal stakeholders.
Track shipments and proactively follow up on delays, exceptions and documentation issues.
Systems & Data Management
Maintain accurate shipment, customs and customer information in internal systems.
Support document uploading, data entry and system-related logistics activities.
Ensure customs and shipment data is accurate, complete and up to date.
Compliance & Process Improvement
Follow company trade compliance policies and Singapore customs regulations.
Support customs audits, documentation reviews and compliance checks.
Identify opportunities to improve customs, documentation and logistics processes.
What We’re Looking For
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or a related discipline.
1–3 years of relevant experience in customs, export documentation, logistics or international trade.
Familiarity with Singapore Customs requirements, HS Codes and trade compliance is preferred.
Experience with SAP or other ERP/logistics systems is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of ownership and responsibility.
Comfortable managing multiple shipments and priorities within tight deadlines.
