The Product Lead is a hands-on, techno-functional role responsible for leading the functional design, testing, and delivery of a squad’s capability area using a strict product-first approach. The primary objective is to build standardized, re-usable features for all participating organizations—handling variations strictly through system configuration rather than custom code. Beyond refining user stories, this role actively investigates data using SQL, automates regression tests, leverages AI tools for prototyping, and leads a Product Analyst while collaborating closely with engineering and Singapore Government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end user journeys and user stories in Jira/Confluence, ensuring new features are designed once for all organizations and variations are resolved via configuration.

• Lead discovery workshops demonstrating core platform capabilities, conduct story walkthroughs with engineering, and present stories to the Product Owner for sign-off.

• Create test cases, manage test data, execute sprint integration tests, classify defects, and lead interim User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.

• Build and maintain automated regression test suites for the squad's scope to guarantee software reliability across sprints.

• Query databases directly using intermediate SQL (joins, aggregations, audit logs) to analyze data behavior and resolve technical issues.

• Plan and deliver squad analysis and testing tasks, mentor the assigned Product Analyst, and use AI tools to draft requirements and build interactive UI prototypes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3–5 years in business analysis or product lead roles, including at least 2 years delivering Agile projects for Singapore Government agencies.

• Proven track record running discovery and design sprints, defining target journeys, and delivering functional designs as testable user stories in Jira/Confluence.

• Intermediate SQL skills to independently inspect database structures, write multi-table joins, and troubleshoot data issues.

• Practical, hands-on experience writing automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.

• Familiarity with Singapore Government agency operations (regulatory, enforcement, licensing, or case management workflows) to design for actual job needs.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools for drafting and UI prototyping, alongside demonstrated success managing client Product Owner sign-offs.
