Job Description
Industry/ Organization Type: Marine Equipment Wholesaler
Position Title: Junior AI / ML Engineer
Working Location: Tuas West
Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (One Sat per month, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM))
Salary Package: Basic Salary + Bonus
Duration: Permanent Role
Key Responsibilities
Develop anomaly detection models for shipboard machinery.
Process vessel sensor data and engineer features.
Support model training, evaluation, tuning, and reporting.
Support AI diagnostics, embeddings, and retrieval testing.
Manage LLM deployment, serving, and GPU monitoring.
Develop web apps and APIs using Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
Prepare technical documents and test reports.
Perform other ad-hoc duties.

Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related fields.
Strong Python, SQL, and JavaScript skills for web and API development.
Knowledge of ML training, evaluation, and validation.
Experience with pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
Familiar with PyTorch or TensorFlow through projects or internships.
Able to use AI coding tools with proper code review and testing.
Familiar with Linux.
Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, or vector databases is an advantage.
No experience required; training provided.
