The Role

Quake is a next-generation, AI-first recruitment platform with a strong presence in the UK recruitment market. As Product Designer you will own the end-to-end design of the product experience, translating recruiter needs into clear, usable interfaces and flows that our engineering team in KL can ship quickly.

You will work at the intersection of customer insight, product design, and modern AI tooling. You will map customer journeys, design solutions that leverage Quake’s CRM, custom AI agents and workflow automations, and collaborate directly with engineers in a design-to-code environment so that ideas move from concept to production efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the product experience: Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs for Quake’s core platform, with a focus on making complex AI-powered recruitment workflows simple and effective for recruiters.
• Map customer journeys and talk to users: Regularly speak with customers and internal stakeholders to understand how recruiters actually work. Translate those insights into clear journey maps, opportunity areas and prioritised design solutions.
• Work in a design-to-code environment: Use modern AI-assisted design and development tooling to prototype quickly, hand off cleanly and iterate with the KL engineering team. Comfortable moving between design tools and code-adjacent environments.
• Champion product improvements: Gather frontline feedback, document requirements and partner with product and engineering to shape the roadmap. Advocate for the user while staying pragmatic about technical and commercial constraints.
• Communicate in the language of AI and modern stacks: Articulate design decisions in terms that resonate with both recruiters and a technical team building on AI agents, automations and contemporary SaaS architecture.

Candidate Attributes

• 5+ years in SaaS / product design: Strong portfolio demonstrating product design (not pure visual or marketing design) for SaaS platforms, ideally with experience in complex workflow or B2B tools. Product management exposure is a plus.
• Experience with AI tooling and design-to-code workflows: Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and modern design-to-code environments. Comfortable experimenting with new tools and integrating them into day-to-day work.
• Customer-facing and journey-oriented: Confident speaking with customers, asking good questions and translating messy real-world processes into clear product journeys and designs.
• Fluent in AI and modern tech: Able to talk credibly about AI capabilities, limitations and modern technical stacks with both technical and non-technical audiences. Curious about how AI is changing product design and software delivery.
• Collaborative and commercially aware: Works well embedded with an engineering team. Balances user needs with business outcomes and enjoys the pace of a growing AI-first product company.

Location: Kuala Lumpur (on-site / hybrid with the engineering team)

Pay: RM8,000 – RM12,000 per month (depending on experience)
