Eastern General Hospital (EGH) is a 1,000-bed hospital in Bedok North that will provide a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient clinical specialties and healthcare services, covering emergency, acute and secondary care. As a digitally enabled and patient-centred hospital, it will leverage innovative technologies to provide excellent care, and journey closely with patients and the community towards healthier, more fulfilling lives.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team in the Accreditation and Licensing role. In this role, you will provide the overall operational management direction and leadership for the Accreditation and Licensing department. You will be responsible for developing the hospital’s management systems to meet the hospital’s accreditation and management standards requirements, and implementing controls to ensure regulatory compliance, such as the non-clinical aspects of the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA), relevant ISO standards and applicable international and local standards.

The individual would scan and implement best practices in management standards, document control, and internal audits. To facilitate an effective management system, the individual will develop and conduct training programmes and oversee the supporting IT systems (e.g. e-Audit).

You will be required to lead tabletop exercises and coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, and independent auditors to ensure licensing readiness. Your scope will also include monitoring evolving regulatory changes and advise leadership on preparedness measures and ensure compliance with national standards and regulatory requirements.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with at least 6 years of relevant experience in quality-related work; at least 2 years in supervisory role
• Prior experience in healthcare accreditation and licensing, MOH HSCA / JCI / ESS is an added advantage
• Trained in ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 as lead assessor or other internal auditing skills
• Team player, highly motivated and action-oriented with excellent planning and analytical skills
• Able to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and growing organization
