About the role

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Retail Supervisor to join our team, and branches are Island Wide. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our retail store environment. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our customer-focused business, responsible for leading a team of retail staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving sales performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your management skills whilst making a tangible impact on store performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of retail staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
• Ensure the store is well-organised, clean, and visually appealing with effective merchandising displays
• Monitor and achieve store sales targets, analysing sales data and implementing strategies to drive revenue
• Provide exceptional customer service, actively resolving complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain stock levels, manage inventory accurately, and conduct regular stock counts
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
• Train and develop team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Handle cash management and process transactions with accuracy
• Report on store performance and provide feedback to senior management
• Coordinate with head office on promotional campaigns and new product launches

What we're looking for

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a retail environment
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales and meet performance targets consistently
• Sound knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service standards
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Willingness to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, when required
• Preferably, a secondary school qualification or higher, with retail or customer service qualifications being advantageous
