Role Description

Improve business processes to strengthen efficiency, quality, service, and operational performance. Use data, stakeholder insights, and structured improvement methods to identify underlying problems, redesign workflows, and deliver sustainable, measurable benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Map current processes, responsibilities, systems, controls, and handovers.
• Gather operational data and stakeholder feedback to identify delays, errors, duplication, and waste.
• Establish performance baselines and define improvement objectives.
• Investigate root causes and validate findings with process owners.
• Develop future-state workflows and assess costs, benefits, risks, and dependencies.
• Facilitate workshops to prioritize opportunities and agree practical solutions.
• Coordinate pilots, testing, implementation, and transition to operational ownership.
• Update procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
• Monitor results using measures such as cycle time, quality, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction.
• Confirm that improvements preserve necessary controls and safety requirements.
• Track benefits and introduce monitoring practices that help sustain results.
• Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and broader adoption.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Process Analyst: Analyze workflows and performance data, document requirements, and recommend improvements supported by evidence.
• Process Improvement Executive: Coordinate improvement initiatives, facilitate problem-solving activities, and support implementation and benefits tracking.
• Continuous Improvement Manager: Define improvement priorities, lead a portfolio of initiatives, coach teams, and establish governance for sustained operational improvement.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in process analysis, operational improvement, business analysis, quality, or a related field.
• Understanding of process mapping, root cause analysis, and performance measurement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and familiarity with process mapping or reporting tools.
• Ability to validate data, challenge assumptions, and translate findings into practical actions.
• Clear communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work across functions and support changes to established practices.
• A degree or diploma in business, engineering, operations management, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• For manager roles, experience leading improvement programs, coaching teams, and demonstrating sustained benefits.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement training or certification.
• Experience with value stream mapping, statistical analysis, or structured problem-solving methods.
• Familiarity with process mining, workflow automation, or business intelligence tools.
• Experience supporting change adoption and process standardization across multiple teams.
• Relevant industry knowledge and understanding of operational controls.

Scope by Role
