STOREKEEPER – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse and store operations to ensure materials are properly received, stored, issued, and recorded.
- Follow and implement company and departmental SOPs, Work Instructions, rules, and safety requirements, while maintaining accurate records.
- Work closely with the Department HOD and team members to achieve departmental targets and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in line with good housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Ensure proper FIFO (First In, First Out) practices and accurate labelling of all materials and chemicals.
- Control and monitor inventory movement, including material issuance, warehouse transfers, and related documentation.
- Ensure materials are prepared and delivered to the respective departments on time to support uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate closely with the Logistics Department for goods loading, unloading, and material movement activities.
- Conduct incoming material inspections, verify quantities and conditions, and report any defects or discrepancies.
- Prepare Sample Trial Result Reports for defective materials and coordinate with the Purchasing Department for supplier claims and follow-up.
- Receive, store, transfer, and deliver materials, supplies, tools, and equipment to the respective departments.
- Organize and optimize warehouse storage areas to ensure efficient space utilization, easy material identification, and smooth retrieval.
- Conduct monthly physical stock counts, reconcile inventory variances, and ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor the proper operation and condition of material-handling equipment such as forklifts, PDA devices, cranes, and other warehouse equipment.
- Follow equipment operating procedures and coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair arrangements when required.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure efficient material flow.
- Support wooden crate preparation, packing, and other warehouse-related activities when required.
- Perform other warehouse and storekeeping duties as assigned by the HOD or Management.
