Key Responsibilities

• Research & Analysis: Support market, competitor, consumer, and campaign research; compile findings into clear summaries for internal use.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare campaign reports, monthly reports, and project summaries; collect and consolidate information from various parties into required reporting formats; check reports, documents, and project information for completeness and basic accuracy before submission.
• Presentation & Proposal Support: Assist in preparing PowerPoint proposals, presentation content, and supporting documents.
• Data & Records Management: Support campaign data checking, participant records, redemption records, or fulfilment reports; update project trackers, task lists, timelines, and documentation based on information provided by the project team.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising or related studies preferred.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Comfortable doing repetitive checking/documentation work when required.
• Creative problem-solving skills.

Ideal Candidate

• Very organised and detail-oriented.
• Responsible with follow-up.
• Good English reading, writing and comprehension for reports, decks, and documentation.
• Comfortable with PowerPoint and Excel.
• Comfortable using ChatGPT/AI tools for productivity, but able to verify the output.
• Basic Canva/design sense would be an added advantage but not essential.
• Able to research and summarise information instead of simply copy-pasting.
• Able to understand instructions and ask when something is unclear.

Marketing Intern supporting the Account Management team at SMX (HQ). The role assists with day-to-day execution and documentation of marketing projects, including research, project documentation, presentation preparation, reporting, information checking, file organisation and general marketing execution. The intern provides reliable execution support while gaining exposure to integrated and digital marketing campaigns, creative development, GWP, microsites, activations and other brand marketing projects.
