We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, manage and optimise secure, scalable cloud environments. You will work closely with development teams to support application performance, strengthen infrastructure reliability and drive continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time Contract (Subjected to renewal/conversion)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructure on Azure/AWS to meet operational and technical requirements.
• Manage and optimise cloud resources to improve cost-efficiency, performance and reliability.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and managed Kubernetes services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to enable repeatable, auditable provisioning.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Manage database systems and storage solutions, including Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB and NoSQL databases.
• Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimise application architecture and deployment.
• Configure and manage network security infrastructure, including Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, threat prevention and network segmentation.
• Implement cloud security best practices and maintain compliance with relevant standards.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5-7 years of experience with strong hands-on knowledge of AWS/Azure and their native services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and managed Kubernetes services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible or AWS CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB and NoSQL databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
