Offshore construction vessels are some of the most complex ships afloat. This role puts you in charge of building them.

Angle Recruitment has partnered with a reputable offshore and renewables company. A series of offshore construction vessels is on order, and this hire will see them through the yard.

The role is based in Singapore, mainly in the office, with regular trips to shipyards in Asia.

In short, your job is to turn a specification into vessels that are ready to go to work.

• Manage OCV newbuild projects from design approval through commissioning, sea trials and delivery
• Work with the site team and the yard's technical and commercial teams to keep schedule, cost and quality on track
• Take the lead on electrical, power and automation systems, from DP and power management to mission equipment integration
• Handle variation orders, inspections, FATs and outstanding items, bringing in class, flag and makers when needed
• Report progress and risk clearly, and flag problems early

You'll have worked on the owner's side of pipelay, cablelay or CSOV vessels, at sea or ashore. An electrical background is ideal, though a marine engineering or academic route into the industry works too. Newbuild or conversion experience will put you ahead.
