We are looking for a hands-on and responsible IT Executive to manage and support our company's day-to-day IT operations.

This is a practical, hands-on role covering computer and user support, Microsoft 365, networking, Wi-Fi, software applications, cybersecurity, IT assets, software licences, procurement and project-site IT support.

The successful candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting IT problems independently, supporting users, maintaining IT equipment and coordinating with external IT vendors when specialist assistance is required.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Infrastructure

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to company employees.
  • Set up, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
  • Install and configure Windows and approved business applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, Internet, Wi-Fi, printer and user-access problems.
  • Set up and maintain office network equipment, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points and network printers.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Maintain basic network documentation and network diagrams.

Microsoft 365 & User Accounts

  • Manage Microsoft 365 user accounts, licences and access.
  • Set up accounts and IT equipment for new employees.
  • Remove or disable access for departing employees according to company procedures.
  • Provide user support for Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Monitor Microsoft 365 licence usage and identify unnecessary or unused licences.

Software & Licence Management

  • Maintain the company's software licence and subscription register.
  • Monitor licence allocation, renewal and expiry dates.
  • Manage licences and subscriptions for software such as:
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Adobe
  • AutoCAD
  • ArcGIS Pro
  • Accounting/business software
  • Antivirus and endpoint security software
  • Other company applications
  • Obtain quotations and liaise with software vendors and authorised resellers.
  • Assist management in identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary software costs.
  • Ensure company software is properly licensed and approved.

Cybersecurity & Backup

  • Monitor antivirus and endpoint protection systems.
  • Ensure computers receive appropriate security updates and patches.
  • Assist with basic cybersecurity controls and user awareness.
  • Monitor backup status and escalate backup failures where required.
  • Assist with basic data recovery and restoration procedures.
  • Report suspected security incidents or unauthorised access promptly.

IT Asset & Procurement Management

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of company IT equipment.
  • Track equipment details, assigned users, locations, warranties and replacement requirements.
  • Conduct periodic physical checks of IT assets.
  • Obtain and compare quotations for IT hardware, software and services.
  • Assist management in selecting cost-effective equipment and software.
  • Coordinate repairs, warranty claims, replacements and vendor support.
  • Maintain records of IT purchases, quotations, warranties and service contracts.

Project Site & Camera Support

  • Provide IT support to project and site operations when required.
  • Support site computers, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, Wi-Fi equipment and printers.
  • Provide basic technical support for commercially available Wi-Fi/IP site security cameras.
  • Set up replacement cameras and configure them using the relevant mobile application.
  • Check camera power, Wi-Fi, Internet connectivity, app connection and live viewing/recording.
  • Replace faulty cameras when required.
  • Visit project sites when necessary to resolve IT or camera-related issues.

Note: Specialist CCTV engineering is not required. The site cameras are primarily commercially available Wi-Fi/IP cameras. Continuous camera monitoring is handled by the Operations team.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical IT experience.
  • 2–4 years of relevant IT support/infrastructure experience preferred.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows computers.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Good understanding of computer hardware and networking.
  • Able to troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity problems.
  • Good understanding of Wi-Fi networking.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity, antivirus and endpoint protection.
  • Good Microsoft Excel and documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of IT issues.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel to project sites when required.
  • Class 3 or motorcycle licence required.

  • IT procurement and vendor management
  • Wi-Fi/IP security camera support

You will be expected to handle routine IT issues independently and recognise when a problem should be escalated to an external IT specialist or vendor.

This position is suitable for an IT professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, working directly with users and taking ownership of a company's IT environment.

Pay: $3,600.00 - $3,800.00 per month
