COMPUTE & STORAGE | IT INFRA COMMERCIAL STRATEGY & INVESTMENT

We are partnering with a leading technology group with substantial and growing digital infrastructure requirements to appoint an experienced professional to help shape its compute and storage infrastructure strategy.

This is an opportunity for someone who combines strong technical understanding with commercial acumen, and enjoys influencing technology investment decisions in a large-scale, fast-evolving environment.

The Opportunity

Working closely with infrastructure engineering teams, business stakeholders and technology partners, you will:

• Shape infrastructure sourcing and investment strategies across servers, storage systems and related technologies, including CPUs, GPUs and associated hardware.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, market developments and commercial models to optimise performance, scalability and total cost of ownership.
• Lead supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations and strategic procurement initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams on solution assessments, proof-of-concept testing and technology selection.
• Drive improvements in infrastructure procurement processes, vendor partnerships and service delivery.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience in compute and storage infrastructure, ideally within large technology companies, cloud providers, infrastructure vendors or other technology-intensive environments.

You should bring:

• Strong knowledge of enterprise compute and storage technologies, hardware architecture and infrastructure solutions.
• Experience evaluating technology solutions from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Good understanding of the infrastructure technology landscape and supplier ecosystem.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience in technology sourcing, procurement or vendor management would be advantageous.
