Job Summary
You will install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair high-pressure piping systems in industrial and commercial settings, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
Read technical drawings, schematics, and isometric blueprints to plan piping layouts and material requirements
Measure, cut, thread, and bend metal or plastic pipes using saws, torches, and threading machines to fit specifications
Join pipe sections by welding, brazing, soldering, or cementing to assemble piping systems
Mount brackets, clamps, and hangers to securely support pipes on walls, ceilings, and structures
Conduct pressure and leak tests using gauges to verify system safety and proper functionality
Lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work safely in tight spaces or at heights
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Strong knowledge of tool usage, safety codes, and blueprint reading to perform tasks accurately and safely
