SPOT is an interdisciplinary children's therapy centre offering Speech, Physio and Occupational Therapy as well as Counselling, and Psychology services in 4 locations.

Job Description:

We are looking to recruit the above assistant to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team to provide support for therapists.

Duties include but not be limited to:

• Participating in sessions where therapists require support.

• Assisting with scoring and generating assessments for clinicians. Sending out questionnaires

-Equipment and Toy maintenance: following operating instructions; troubleshooting -breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

• Cleaning and tidying of therapy spaces and storage areas throughout the day.

• Stock taking and ordering; inventorying stock; placing orders; keeping supplies available.

• Setting up standardised assessments in preparation for therapist use.

• Activity / craft preparation.

• Shopping for smaller consumable items

• Manage SPOT administrative duties helping the multidisciplinary teams

• Flexibility, initiative, ability to work alone and as part of a team, motivation to pursue continued professional development.

• Highly organised

• Comfortable working with children and with special needs, understanding and accepting of a diverse range of strengths, abilities and challenges.

• Interest in any of the following areas: biological science, child development, child therapy, psychology and health care

• Ability to follow instructions given by clinicians.

• Ability to communicate effectively and have good organisation skills.

• Good observation skills.

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and command of the English language.

• Fluent written and spoken Cantonese is preferred but not necessary.

• Documentation Skills, Scheduling, Verbal Communication.

• Experience with provision of Patient / Client Services.

• Experience working in a team.

Working Hours: 10:15 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Friday.
