COMPANY OVERVIEW

We are part of a European multinational engineering group providing energy solutions, engineering services and technology for natural gas and power projects.

In Hong Kong, we deliver EPCC projects — Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning — covering the complete project process from engineering design and equipment procurement through construction, testing, commissioning and final handover.

Our Hong Kong projects include major power stations and mechanical and electrical works, including the design, installation, testing and commissioning of gas and electrical systems.

We work closely with local utilities, power companies and industrial clients to support important energy infrastructure.

ROLE MISSION

Support the successful delivery of mechanical and piping works for major power station projects in Hong Kong.

Ensure all site activities are completed safely, on schedule and in line with project requirements, approved drawings and quality standards.

Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, project team, subcontractors, clients, consultants and other stakeholders.

Help deliver smooth site execution from construction through testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning.

ROLE SUMMARY

Support the Project Manager in managing mechanical and piping works at site.

Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, consultants, equipment vendors and internal project teams.

Work closely with civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation teams to manage project interfaces.

Prepare technical documents, progress reports, method statements and work procedures.

Use your technical knowledge and site experience to resolve construction issues and maintain project progress.

This role is suitable for a hands-on mechanical engineer with experience in power plants, live plants, process industries, high-pressure gas or similar projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist the Project Manager with daily project planning, site coordination and construction management.

Coordinate subcontractors on work schedules, manpower planning, work methods, quality control and cost control.

Plan and supervise the installation, alignment, inspection, testing and pre-commissioning of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, tanks and other mechanical equipment.

Supervise mechanical and piping works and ensure that all activities follow approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, codes and standards.

Prepare or review method statements, risk assessments and work procedures for construction activities.

Monitor daily site progress, workmanship, material availability and subcontractor productivity.

Identify and resolve technical and engineering issues with support from the design team, equipment vendors and subcontractors.

Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure smooth work progress and proper interface management.

Liaise with client representatives, consultants, suppliers and equipment vendors when required.

Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and final handover activities.

Monitor outstanding work, testing records, inspection documents and handover requirements.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Bachelor’s degree, higher diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of hands-on site experience in mechanical and piping construction.

Experience in power plants, oil and gas, petrochemical, natural gas or other process industries is preferred.

Experience with natural gas projects, such as pipelines, metering stations, terminals or processing facilities, is highly preferred.

Good knowledge of construction sequences, heavy equipment installation and project interface management.

Familiar with mechanical and piping codes and standards, including ASME and API.

Able to read and understand isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings and P&ID drawings.

Knowledge of welding, non-destructive examination methods and pressure-testing procedures.

Good understanding of site coordination, subcontractor management and construction quality control.
