We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Designer / AutoCAD Drafter to join our dynamic Interior Design team.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, good knowledge of interior design and construction detailing, and the ability to translate design concepts into accurate and practical technical drawings.

You will work closely with our Interior Designers, Project Team, contractors and suppliers to ensure drawings are properly prepared and suitable for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D AutoCAD technical and construction drawings for interior design and fit-out projects.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts, details and other technical drawings.
• Translate design concepts into practical and detailed drawings for site execution and construction.
• Prepare detailed drawings for joinery, carpentry, ceiling, flooring and other interior elements.
• Develop and maintain project drawings, specifications, material schedules and related documentation.
• Revise drawings according to comments from the Designer, Project Manager, client, contractor or site team.
• Conduct site measurements and site visits when required.
• Coordinate with Interior Designers, Project Managers, contractors, suppliers and other relevant parties.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, complete and meet project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings and documentation are completed within the required timeline.
• Assist with project proposals, presentations and other project documentation when required.
• Maintain proper filing and version control of project drawings.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in technical drafting, interior design, construction or fit-out projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Experience preparing interior design technical/construction drawings.
• Good understanding of interior construction, materials and detailing.
• Able to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
• Good knowledge of construction and site execution processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willing to attend site visits and measurements when required.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite will be an advantage.

Portfolio Requirement

• Technical / construction drawings
• Floor plans
• Elevations and sections
• Joinery / carpentry details
• Ceiling and flooring details
• Interior fit-out drawings
• Previous project drawings

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
