Summary:

Experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, implement and maintain automated testing solutions for web-based, desktop, API and mobile applications.

Responsible for developing automation frameworks, executing functional and regression testing, identifying software defects and collaborating with development and business teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software applications.

The role requires strong technical expertise in test automation tools, programming languages, API testing, database validation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, functional specifications and technical documents to develop comprehensive
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, Python, Java and other relevant automation tools.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, user acceptance and cross-browser testing across web, desktop and mobile applications.
• Develop and enhance reusable automation frameworks and components to improve testing efficiency, scalability and maintainability.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and validate REST API endpoints, responses and integration workflows.
• Perform database testing and data validation using SQL to ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity.
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitLab to support continuous testing and deployment processes.
• Execute automated test suites, analyse test results, identify defects and coordinate with development teams for timely resolution.
• Manage test data, prepare test execution reports and maintain testing documentation using Jira, qTest and other test management tools.
• Configure and manage unattended and parallel test execution environments to improve automation coverage and execution efficiency.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, defect review meetings and project discussions.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and continuous improvement recommendations to enhance the overall software quality assurance process.
• Research and evaluate emerging automation technologies, including AI-assisted test automation, to improve testing productivity and effectiveness.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca and Selenium automation tools.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java programming.
• Experience in developing and maintaining BDD automation frameworks using Cucumber and TestNG.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman and REST API validation.
• Good knowledge of SQL, database testing and test data management.
• Experience with Git, Maven and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with Jira, qTest, TestRail and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and documentation skills.
