Role Description As a Senior Hardware (FPGA) Design Engineer at HexoSys Group, you will design, implement, and validate advanced FPGA-based hardware solutions for high-performance, protocol-intensive systems. This full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define hardware architectures, create detailed circuit designs, and integrate FPGA logic with associated electronics hardware. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing design specifications, performing simulations and timing analyses, and supporting hardware bring-up, debugging, and optimization in the lab. The role includes preparing technical documentation, supporting design reviews, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to ensure robust, scalable hardware solutions for global clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Hardware Development and Hardware Design for complex, high-speed digital systems.
• Strong experience in Electronics Hardware Design and Circuit Design, including schematic capture and PCB-related considerations.
• Solid understanding of Hardware Architecture, including system-level design, modularization, and integration with FPGA-based logic.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA design tools and flows (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera), including HDL coding (VHDL/Verilog), synthesis, simulation, and timing closure.
• Experience with lab equipment and debug methods (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG, signal integrity considerations).
• Familiarity with communication and memory protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, SATA, DDR3/DDR4, Ethernet) and related compliance or interoperability testing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, on-site team environment.
