Job Overview:

The Costing Manager oversees the end-to-end product costing, pricing governance, and financial evaluation processes to support strategic business decisions. The role leads the costing team, ensures accurate and competitive cost models, and drives continuous improvements in costing methodologies. This position works closely with cross-functional departments to optimize product profitability, support commercial negotiations, and strengthen overall financial performance. The Manager is also responsible for budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX evaluations, and strategic cost-reduction initiatives.

1. Lead, mentor, and develop the costing team to ensure high performance and compliance with corporate requirements.

2. Oversee costing team workload, performance management, and capability building.

3. Establish, maintain, and enforce standardized costing processes, procedures, and pricing governance.

4. Oversee the preparation, validation, and approval of customer RFQs, quotations, and complex pricing proposals.

5. Ensure costing accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with business strategies and profitability objectives.

6. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to develop sustainable costing models and optimize product/process cost structures.

7. Lead detailed analyses of cost fluctuations, product and customer profitability, and margin performance; provide insights and recommendations to management.

8. Identify key cost drivers and spearhead cost-improvement and efficiency initiatives.

9. Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across departments.

10. Lead automation efforts and develop advanced costing tools, templates, and dashboards to enhance costing efficiency and accuracy.

11. Provide financial input for annual budgeting, cost forecasting, and operating expenses analysis.

12. Review, validate, and submit CAPEX proposals in compliance with corporate guidelines and strategic priorities.

13. Support commercial and management teams with financial insights during pricing reviews and business negotiations.

14. Prepare management reports, business cases, and ad-hoc financial analyses to support decision-making.

15. Perform any other duties or special assignments as required by senior management.
