Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an accounting or professional services firm.

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and full-set accounting.

• Familiar with Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements.

• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, AutoCount or equivalent will be an advantage.

• Good Microsoft Excel skills.

• Able to handle multiple client portfolios and meet deadlines.

• Good communication and client-handling skills.

• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently.

• Experience in reviewing or supervising junior team members will be an added advantage.

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive who is experienced in handling full sets of accounts and is comfortable managing multiple client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain full sets of accounts for assigned clients.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.

• Perform bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger maintenance.

• Prepare and review journal entries, schedules and account reconciliations.

• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management and audit purposes.

• Ensure proper accounting treatment and accurate recording of transactions.

• Liaise with clients to obtain accounting records, supporting documents and necessary information.

• Assist clients with accounting-related queries and provide practical solutions where required.

• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents and company secretaries when necessary.

• Ensure accounting assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance where necessary.

• Assist in improving accounting processes and maintaining proper documentation.
