MYR 2,500 – MYR 2,700 per month

Job Description

Alstom is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Modification Technician to perform product and component modifications in accordance with engineering requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications. The successful candidate will support modification activities while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Modification Works

• Perform modifications, rework, and adjustments on products and components based on approved design changes.

• Interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to execute required modifications accurately.

Quality Control

• Inspect modified products and components to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformities.

• Support corrective and preventive actions where necessary.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Carry out basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of modification activities, work orders, and job sheets.

• Update production logs and relevant documentation as required.

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.

• Participate in training and development programs to improve technical skills.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Hands-on experience using mechanical/electrical tools, machinery, and measuring instruments.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Experience in manufacturing, maintenance, rail, automotive, aerospace, or industrial environments is an advantage.

• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts when required.
