Minimum qualification of SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Science, Chemistry, or a closely related field.

Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, including the preparation and proper handling of samples, as well as the use of laboratory instruments and equipment.

Ability to comply with laboratory safety standards, established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company regulations.

Strong focus on accuracy and detail when carrying out sample preparation, handling, weighing, and documentation activities.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team while contributing to a laboratory environment that is safe, clean, and properly organised.

Support laboratory operations by receiving, labelling, and preparing samples for testing or analysis.

Handle sample preparation activities involving cutting, segregation, dividing, and mixing processes.

Accurately weigh samples before they are processed for digestion.

Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the laboratory, including washing glassware and cleaning laboratory equipment.

Assist with routine administrative work, such as arranging, updating, and filing laboratory records.

Keep track of laboratory consumables and assist in maintaining accurate inventory and supply levels.

Carry out the digestion process to prepare samples for laboratory analysis.

Follow all required laboratory safety practices and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.
