Have at least an SPM, Certificate, or Diploma qualification in Laboratory Technology, Science, Chemistry, or a relevant field.

Possess basic familiarity with laboratory practices, including sample preparation, sample handling procedures, and laboratory instruments.

Able to observe and comply with laboratory safety standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and organisational policies.

Demonstrate careful attention to detail and maintain accuracy when processing, preparing, weighing, and documenting samples.

Capable of completing tasks independently and working cooperatively with team members while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised laboratory.

Provide assistance with the receipt, identification, labelling, and preparation of laboratory samples.

Complete sample processing tasks involving cutting, separation, dividing, and mixing activities.

Determine and record the required sample weight before carrying out the digestion procedure.

Ensure the laboratory remains clean and properly organised by maintaining work areas and washing glassware and laboratory equipment.

Support routine administrative work, including the arrangement and maintenance of laboratory files and records.

Regularly check laboratory materials and assist in monitoring and managing the inventory of supplies.

Carry out the digestion process on samples to prepare them for laboratory analysis.

Adhere to all laboratory safety requirements and comply with the company’s established policies.
