What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Pursuing or part qualified ACCA, CPA or MIA is an advantage

• 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to full set accounts and accounts receivable or collections

• Comfortable using accounting software, and open to adopting AI tools for reporting and reconciliation work

• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin an advantage for liaising with regional clients and stakeholders

• Meticulous, organized and able to manage multiple entities and deadlines

• Good communication skills, persistent but professional in following up on payments, and willing to learn

What You'll Be Doing

• Handle full set accounting for assigned subsidiaries, including data entry, reconciliations and month end closing support

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with MFRS and internal policy

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and supporting schedules for group consolidation

• Perform bank, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, and follow up on discrepancies

• Manage group level accounts receivable collections, including tracking outstanding invoices, sending payment reminders and updating aging reports across all subsidiaries

• Follow up proactively with clients on overdue payments, escalating disputed or high risk accounts to senior finance team

• Support the annual budgeting process by compiling data and preparing draft schedules

• Assist with statutory audit and tax filing by preparing supporting documents and responding to auditor and tax agent queries under guidance

• Ensure timely and accurate documentation to support internal controls

• Use accounting software and tools, including AI assisted tools, to improve efficiency in reconciliation, collections tracking and reporting

• Perform ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as assigned
