Jobs Kreate is recruiting on behalf of a client for a shipboard Stateroom Host/Hostess position. The successful candidate will provide personalised housekeeping service, maintain high standards of stateroom cleanliness and ensure a comfortable guest experience onboard.

Build your international hospitality career while sailing to exciting destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, the Americas, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The actual vessel, itinerary and sailing region will be assigned by the company based on operational requirements.

Important: Cruise ship grading may differ from land-based hospitality structures. Candidates may be offered a position one or two ranks below their current land-based role, subject to the cruise line’s assessment and operational requirements.

• Open to Malaysian and Singaporean citizens only.

• This is a full-time position. Part-time applications will not be considered.

• Housekeeping experience within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, resort or cruise environment.

• Previous onboard experience as a Stateroom Host/Hostess or in a similar housekeeping position is required.

• Able to clean approximately 15–20 staterooms twice daily while maintaining consistent service and cleanliness standards.

• Good English communication and organisational skills.

• Physically fit and able to walk or stand for extended periods and handle items weighing 50+ lbs.

• Able to work safely with cleaning chemicals, materials and housekeeping equipment.

• Guest-focused and service-oriented with a professional appearance and high personal hygiene standards.

• Able to handle guest information and stateroom matters with confidentiality and discretion.

• Good knowledge of public health, sanitation and workplace safety requirements.

• Flexible, dependable and able to work effectively under pressure.

Salary

• Salary: USD 2,300

• Contract duration: 6 months

• Clean and service approximately 15–20 guest staterooms twice daily.

• Make beds, vacuum, dust and clean bathrooms, toilets, windows, mirrors and stateroom verandas.

• Replenish linens, towels, room amenities, glassware and other guest supplies.

• Inspect staterooms and report maintenance issues or deficiencies through the shipboard reporting system.

• Maintain the security and confidentiality of guest staterooms and handle guest concerns professionally.

• Provide ice delivery, laundry collection and delivery, and shoeshine services when required.

• Manage stateroom minibars according to housekeeping instructions.

• Handle cleaning products, chemicals and equipment safely while following waste-separation procedures.

• Participate in luggage duties during embarkation and disembarkation.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, grooming and guest comfort throughout assigned areas.

• Follow all public health, environmental, PPE, safety, security and emergency procedures.

• Assist other departments or perform additional duties when operationally required.
