Minimum Diplomain Chemical Engineering, Water Treatment or a related field.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Minimum one (1) year of relevant working experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial utilities, chemical processing or manufacturing operations is required.

Basic understanding of pumps, filters, tanks, valves, chemical dosing systems, and treatment processes.

Experience with DCS, SCADA, PLC, or other process monitoring systems will be an added advantage.

Able to read and record operating data accurately.

Able to identify abnormalities and communicate issues promptly to supervisors.

Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Good teamwork, communication, discipline, and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel and electronic recordkeeping.

Knowledge of environmental, safety, Permit to Work, and 7S practices will be an advantage.

Operate and monitor the water treatment and wastewater treatment systems through the DCS in accordance with established SOPs and work instructions.

Monitor operating parameters, process data, equipment conditions, water quality, and system performance to ensure stable and efficient operations.

Identify abnormal operating conditions, equipment issues, and unsafe situations, and promptly report them to the Shift Leader.

Carry out necessary process adjustments under the direction of the Shift Leader to maintain the required water quality and treatment performance.

Verify DCS readings against actual site conditions and ensure all operating records are accurate, complete, and updated.

Prepare daily shift handover records, including process data, abnormalities, corrective actions, and pending matters.

Conduct routine inspections and support the operation of pumps, filters, tanks, chemical dosing systems, and other related equipment.

Perform scheduled filter backwashing and other routine treatment activities to maintain water quality and distribution.

Support the monitoring of the Industrial Effluent Treatment System and air pollution control equipment, including bioscrubbers and bag filters.

Record environmental monitoring information in accordance with Department of Environment requirements and internal procedures.

Ensure Permit to Work documentation and safety approval are obtained before maintenance or operational work begins.

Coordinate with operators, maintenance personnel, and other departments to ensure smooth and safe plant operations.

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and good housekeeping within the plant, control room, and surrounding work areas.

Comply with all environmental, occupational safety and health, company policies, SOPs, and 7S requirements.

Participate in safety training, internal audits, emergency response activities, and continuous improvement programs.

Perform other duties assigned by the Shift Leader or management.
