1) SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The role of this position is to issue linen to the ward and services according to systems and the procedures laid down by the hospital management. Also takes inventory and control movement of soiled, damaged and clean linen.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION

• To understand and strictly adhere to the Hospital’s Employee Rules & Regulations.

• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives.

• Collect and prepare all soiled linen in soiled linen bags for collection by laundry.

• Examines clean linen items received from laundry to ensure quality of cleanliness.

• Ensure that the linen are neatly and systematically arranged and stacked.

• Counts and records linen to fill requisition and par level.

• Check periodically the condition of hospital linen.

• Monitoring linen inventory quarterly.

• Ensure that the linen are neatly and systematically arranged and stacked.

• To carry out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act Regulations 1994.

• To take reasonable care for safety and health of herself and other persons who may be affected by her acts or omission at work.

• To co-operate with Management of SSH in the discharge of any duty or requirement imposed on the Management by the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Or any Regulations made there in.

• To wear or use at all times any personal protective equipment or clothing provided by the Management SSH for the purpose of preventing risks to his/her safety and health.

• To comply with any instruction or measure on Occupational Safety and Health Act or any Regulations made therein.

• To be responsible in complying with the integrated management (ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007) which ever related to their services function and other hospital accreditation MSQH and JCI standards.

• Responsible and accountable to carry out all 5s activities directed by the Management.

• Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP).

• Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 37001 Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) are adhered to and responsible for integrity principles, practices, and activities at hospitals & companies if and when these programs are implemented.
