QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
SPM.
Ability to speak and understand Malay and English language.
Ability to read and write and follow verbal and written instruction.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum six (6) months related experience required.
More than 1-2 years of waitressing experience.
Responsibilities
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Provide meal service directly to patient’s bedside and to perform other related duties in KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital (KPJ APSH).
MAIN DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Involve in meal assembly for all three meals and mid-meal snacks including late orders.
2.Deliver patient meals and mid-meal snacks from Dietary Services and serve to patient’s bedside.
3.Collect soiled trays from patients upon completion of meals.
4.Distribute and collect patient menus for following days.
5.Assist in setting up of in-house catering items and deliver to designated venue.. Provide waitressing service if requested.
6.Perform all dishwashing functions including scrapping, washing and storage of crockeries, glassware and cutleries.
7.Maintain and clean dishwasher at regular intervals.
8.Clean working areas regularly and perform weekly general cleaning as directed. 9.Check and fill up the recommended stock level of all food service items regularly.
10.Assist in receiving incoming goods and arrange properly at storage areas.
11.Ensuring sufficient mise-en-place for all food items and ingredients
12. Participate in on job training workshops and lectures.
13.To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:-
To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons;
To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty;
To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer;
To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
14.Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced
15.Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 JCI Accreditation Standards, MSQH Accreditation Standards, HACCP and / or Hospital Accreditation are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
16.Ensure to actively participate in all 5S activities
17.Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times. 18.Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008)
19.Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP)
20.Work collaboratively with leaders, clinicians, staff, visitors and patients in the development and promotion of behaviors, environment and patient care solutions.
21. Perform any other duties assigned by the HOS, Supervisor or Chef/ Leader.
