Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably have experience in the plastics industries.
Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers from Taiwan and China.
Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with vendors.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good understanding of supply chain management and inventory control best practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
・ Lead sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers to meet the company's purchasing and operational requirements.
・ Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
・ Preparing and processing purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation.
・ Monitoring and managing inventory levels to maintain efficient stock control.
・ Liaising with the internal sales team to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
・ Analysing purchasing data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
・ Ensuring compliance with the company's purchasing policies, procedures, and Sales and Service Tax (SST) requirements.
・ Possessing working knowledge of SST regulations, including tax implications on procurement and supplier transactions.
・ Mentor and train junior members of the Purchasing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
