JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Service Crew / Kitchen Assistant

Occupation: Food & Beverage Service Crew /Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

You will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while supporting daily kitchen operations. Your duties include taking customer orders, handling cashier transactions, serving food andbeverages, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness andhygiene in both the dining and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities

A. Front-of-House – Service Crew

• Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly.
• Handle customer enquiries and provide attentive customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area, including tables, floors and service stations.

B. Back-of-House – Kitchen Assistant

• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, preparing ingredients and assembling food items.
• Assist kitchen staff with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ensure food is handled, stored and prepared according to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, utensils and food preparation areas.
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning and other kitchen duties when required.

C. General Responsibilities

• Follow company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and food safety requirements.
• Work closely with service and kitchen team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Adapt to rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage service or kitchen operations is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, responsible and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
