We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Lead – Payments to join our team and lead complex technology and infrastructure initiatives within a large-scale banking and financial services environment.

This is a senior technology leadership role for someone who can combine payments domain expertise, infrastructure and architecture knowledge, cloud technologies, and transformation experience to design scalable solutions and drive strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure and technology solutions for payments and banking platforms.
• Provide technical leadership across infrastructure, cloud, security, applications, APIs, microservices, SOA, and enterprise architecture.
• Support large-scale payments, core banking, and financial services transformation initiatives.
• Define technology strategies, target-state architectures, roadmaps, and modernization plans.
• Lead proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives and develop strategies for enterprise-scale implementation.
• Drive cloud adoption, technology modernization, and digital transformation.
• Establish and enhance technology governance, IT operating models, architecture standards, and processes.
• Manage the lifecycle and modernization of technology platforms and portfolios.
• Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, infrastructure, security, business, and delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• 11+ years of relevant technology experience, preferably within Banking, Payments, Financial Services, Insurance, or Technology Consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end technology stack, covering infrastructure, cloud, platforms, applications, integration, and business systems.
• Strong experience in payments and/or core banking technology environments.
• Experience across architecture domains including:
• Enterprise and Solution Architecture
• Application Architecture
• Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture
• Security Architecture
• Microservices and SOA
• API and Integration Architecture
• Experience managing the end-to-end technology delivery lifecycle, from solution design through implementation and production.
• Experience designing or delivering cloud-based enterprise solutions, ideally across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of technology transformation, IT operating models, governance, process excellence, and technology lifecycle management.
• Experience leading technology teams, projects, programs, or architecture workstreams within complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Advantageous Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an added advantage:

• Payment platforms, payment processing, real-time payments, payment gateways, clearing and settlement
• SWIFT and ISO 20022
• Core banking transformation
• Cloud and infrastructure modernization
• Enterprise Architecture tools such as ArchiMate, MEGA, Alfabet, or Troux
• Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or DoDAF
• API and microservices transformation
• Technology governance and architecture review boards
• High availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and mission-critical banking infrastructure

Preferred Industry Background

Strong experience within Banking, Payments, Financial Services, FinTech, or Insurance is highly desirable.

Candidates from other complex, technology-driven environments such as Telecommunications, Retail, Consumer Goods, Transportation, Automotive, Industrial, or Technology Consulting may also be considered where the relevant architecture and transformation experience is demonstrated.
