Support the overall management of the cafeteria operations, ensuring efficient daily service, high food quality standards, and excellent customer experience for members, staff, and guests. This role works closely with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and kitchen team to maintain smooth operations, cost control, hygiene compliance, and team performance.

Responsibilities

1) Operations & Service

· Assist in overseeing daily cafeteria operations including opening/closing procedures and compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations

· Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.

· Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.

· As Deputy Manager during Assistant Food & Beverage Manager absence.

2) Staff Supervision & Training

· Assist in supervising, scheduling, and motivating service staff.

· Provide on-the-job training to ensure staff follow service standards and procedures.

· Monitor staff performance and support disciplinary actions when necessary.

· Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.

3) Food Safety & Hygiene

· Ensure compliance with Hong Kong food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.

· Monitor cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house areas.

4) Inventory & Cost Control

· Assist with inventory management, stock ordering, and supplier coordination.

· Monitor food and beverage costs, wastage, and portion control.

· Support monthly stocktakes and basic cost reporting.

5) Administrative Duties

· Assist in preparing reports related to sales, staff performance, and operations.

· Support budget control and daily sales reconciliation when required.

· Follow company policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years relevant experience in food & beverage operations, preferably in a cafeteria, club, academy, or casual dining environment.

· Prior supervisory or assistant managerial experience is an advantage.

· Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and local regulations.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

· Well-organized, proactive, and able to work under pressure.

· Good command of Cantonese and English; Mandarin is an advantage.

· Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
