A leading high precision engineering company is seeking Regulatory & Quality Engineer to strengthen their product compliance and regulatory capabilities across international markets.
The role will support the Quality Engineering team in ensuring products meet regulatory, certification and compliance requirements across different markets, while working closely with global R&D, engineering and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support product certification and regulatory compliance activities across Europe, North America, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia.
- Develop and maintain expertise in safety, IEC, FCC, PSE, telecommunications and other applicable standards.
- Work closely with R&D, Quality Engineering, Product Management, external laboratories and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Coordinate certification programmes and provide regulatory guidance from the initial stages of product development through product launch and lifecycle support.
- Develop and maintain Technical Files, compliance documentation, regulatory assessments and gap analyses.
- Monitor regulatory and standards updates and assess their impact on existing and future products.
- Provide training, technical guidance and knowledge sharing to internal engineering and quality teams.
- Participate in relevant industry committees, standards organisations and regulatory networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7–9 years of relevant experience in product compliance, regulatory engineering, wireless/RF, telecommunications or a related field.
- Experience in product certification, regulatory testing and laboratory environments is advantageous.
- Background in mechatronics, robotics, automotive, medical devices, aerospace, railway or other complex engineering systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of system engineering and software development processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach.
- Willing to travel overseas at short notice when required.
