Ashford Benjamin are pleased to be partnering a Global Investment Bank who are hiring a VP Market Risk Manager to join their team in Singapore to cover Metals Trading, inclusive of both precious and base metals. The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office trading, Strats, and other risk teams to provide market risk oversight across the Metals business, with a particular focus on supporting the continued build-out of the business in APAC. The role will involve monitoring risk exposures and limits, assessing market activity and valuations, reviewing new products, and identifying emerging risks across complex commodities portfolios. You will also contribute to the development of risk frameworks, stress testing, reporting, and control processes, working closely with stakeholders across the wider risk function.

To be suitable for this opportunity, candidates should have at least 8 years of Commodities Market Risk, which must include including prior exposure of physical Precious Metals. Experience with derivatives across flow and structured products, alongside an understanding of physical market dynamics and supply chain considerations, will be important.
