What The Role Is
In this role, you will manage the annual flagship IVAS-IVSC Business Valuation Conference and continuing professional development (CPD) programmes under the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers Singapore (IVAS). As part of the Professional Capability Development Department (PCDD), you will develop and deliver well-planned events and programmes that support professional development, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and strengthen connections within the Business Valuation community.
What You Will Be Working On
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of IVAS’ annual events calendar, including the flagship IVAS-IVSC Business Valuation Conference (organised in partnership with the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC)), managing venues, speakers, budgets, vendors, programme schedules and on-site operations to ensure that events are delivered smoothly and to a high professional standard.
- Develop and implement approaches to increase participation in IVAS events and programmes, including working towards enrolment targets, broadening regional participation, and representation and attracting a relevant mix of delegates from across the Business Valuation ecosystem.
- Work closely with IVAS committees, members and industry practitioners to identify evolving professional development needs and translate them into relevant CPD offerings such as specialised courses, workshops and webinars developed in collaboration with industry experts and speakers.
- Support strong initiatives that strengthen member engagement, satisfaction and connect with IVAS.
- Manage partnership and service agreements, monitor stakeholders’ performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provide analysis and regular updates to senior management.
- Provide secretarial support to relevant councils and committees, where required.
What We Are Looking For
- Self-driven with strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience planning and delivering large-scale events or professional programmes and are comfortable managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, budgets and timelines.
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, including committee members, industry practitioners, speakers, vendors and partners.
- Takes a participant-focused approach to programme delivery and can develop practical strategies to support enrolment and engagement objectives.
- Exercises sound judgement, attention to detail and adaptability, and represent the organisation with professionalism and integrity.
