Job Responsibilities
Perform venepuncture and blood collection for patients in a safe and professional manner.
Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labelling and handling.
Prepare and process blood specimens for laboratory collection.
Maintain proper infection control, hygiene and safety standards.
Ensure phlebotomy equipment and supplies are adequately stocked.
Provide a comfortable and positive experience for patients during blood collection.
Assist with other clinical duties as required.
Job Requirements
Relevant certification or training in phlebotomy.
Prior experience in blood collection, preferably in a clinic or healthcare setting.
Proficient in venepuncture with the ability to perform blood collection independently.
Familiar with infection control procedures and specimen handling requirements.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, meticulous and service-oriented
Able to work on an ad-hoc basis, including weekdays and/or weekends.
