Investment Analyst

About the role

KMXK Investment Pte. Ltd. is a single-family office seeking an Investment Analyst to support investment research, due diligence and portfolio monitoring.

Working closely with the principal and investment team, the Analyst will assess investment opportunities, prepare recommendations and monitor existing investments.

Key responsibilities

Investment research and analysis

• Research macroeconomic developments, industries and investment themes.
• Screen investment opportunities against the family office’s investment objectives.
• Analyse financial statements, business models, valuations and investment risks.
• Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis to assess potential returns and downside risks.

Due diligence and recommendations

• Conduct due diligence on prospective investments and fund managers.
• Evaluate fund strategies, track records, investment terms, fees and liquidity provisions.
• Participate in meetings with management teams, fund managers and investment counterparties.
• Prepare investment memoranda setting out the investment thesis, analysis, risks and recommendations.

Portfolio monitoring

• Monitor portfolio performance, exposures and developments affecting existing investments.
• Review financial results, fund reports and investment updates.
• Assess investments against the original investment thesis and highlight material changes.
• Prepare portfolio reviews to support allocation, follow-on investment and exit decisions.

Requirements

• A qualification in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Ability to analyse financial statements and apply valuation methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and modelling, and PowerPoint for investment presentations.
• Research skills and the ability to develop evidence-based investment assessments.
• Written and verbal communication skills for preparing investment memoranda and presenting findings.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage research assignments and reporting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the investment team.
• Discretion when handling confidential investment information.
• Experience in investment research, financial analysis, asset management or a comparable field is advantageous.
