• Assist the chef with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Prepare vegetables, meat, chicken, seafood, and other ingredients for Western dishes.
• Assist with preparing steaks, grilled meats, burgers, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and other Western food items.
• Perform basic food preparation such as cutting, peeling, slicing, portioning, and marinating.
• Assist the chef with grilling, frying, baking, and other cooking preparations when required.
• Prepare sauces, dressings, and other ingredients according to the restaurant's recipes.
• Ensure food is prepared according to the required quality and portion standards.
• Assist the kitchen team during busy lunch and dinner service.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen utensils.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food ingredients.
• Follow proper food hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
• Perform opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Carry out other kitchen duties assigned by the chef or supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Western restaurant or kitchen is preferred.
• Experience with Western cuisine, BBQ, or grill preparation is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Able to follow recipes and instructions.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Good personal hygiene and food safety awareness.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
