Job Description: QA Automation Tester – UFT

Job Title: QA Automation TesterExperience: 4+ YearsRequired Skills: UFT, VBScript, Automation Testing, ALM, API Testing, SQL Server

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable automated test scripts using UFT and associated automation frameworks.
• Plan and execute automation, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing across the SDLC.
• Create, maintain, and prioritize test cases based on business requirements and project needs.
• Identify, document, and track defects using ALM, Jira, and Xray.
• Perform REST and SOAP API testing using SoapUI and Postman.
• Conduct database testing using SQL Server and validate data accuracy.
• Analyze application behaviour, troubleshoot defects, and recommend quality improvements.
• Maintain test documentation, prepare testing progress reports, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, project managers, test leads, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular testing updates and support release activities during critical project phases.

Person Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with hands-on UFT and automation testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and regression testing.
• Practical experience with UFT, VBScript, Descriptive Programming, and test management tools.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks, API testing, and SQL Server databases.
• Experience with ALM, Jira, Xray, SoapUI, and Postman is preferred.
• UFT or automation testing certifications are an added advantage.
• Understanding of AI prompting and AI capabilities is desirable.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with effective stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work extended hours during critical project delivery phases.
