In addition to teaching, I accompanied supervisors to hospitals to interact with individuals impacted by HIV and AIDS, providing me with unique exposure that I couldn't have obtained elsewhere.

During my typical work day, I conducted HIV testing and counseling for clients seeking testing services. I also provided education on HIV prevention during counseling sessions. I gained experience in offering crisis counseling to clients who received positive test results, realizing the importance of being present and providing emotional support during difficult times. I discovered the importance of tailoring my approach to each individual client, as everyone has unique needs. I found fulfillment in working with volunteers who shared the values of compassion, non-discrimination, and empathy.
