Penang Tech Centre Berhad 简介

TECH DOME PENANG is a new science discovery centre set up by PENANG TECH CENTRE BERHAD. It is located at the Komtar Geodesic Dome, just adjacent to the UNESCO-listed George Town Heritage Zone. The Centre has 120+ interactive exhibits in six main galleries; Forces & Motion, Robotics, Optics, Life Tech, Electromagnetism and Information Technology. It also has a Children's Exploration Zone and an astronomy observatory - PIXO.

 

As a Science Discovery Centre, our mission is to spark the interests of pre-school, primary and secondary school children to the world of science and technology and to inspire them to pursue studies and future careers in these fields. We have classrooms and a laboratory to conduct classes/programmes and holiday science camps for children. With its establishment, it is hoped that TECH DOME PENANG will complement Penang's status as the world-renowned "Silicon Valley of the East".

 

TECH DOME PENANG was officially opened in July 2016 and, since then, it has attracted a steady stream of visitors, both local and foreign, from all age groups
