Penang Hospice Society 简介

The Hospice at Home Programme (HHP) is a free community service that was initiated in 1992. It is mainly to help care for people with a life threatening illness such as cancer which is the diagnosis in the majority of our patients. This care is given in the home of the patients by a team of nurses, doctors and lay volunteers.

 

Hospice at Home Proggrame has been given in the homes of patients who were being looked after by their families. Nurses and doctors along with trained volunteers assist with:

- the relif of pain and other symptoms

- providing emotional &practical support

-teaching the family simple nursing care

-helping the family cope

-lending medical equpiment

- bereavement support
