Working at the National Sport Institute (NSI) was a valuable experience, with a typical workday running from 8 am to 5 pm, totaling 9 hours. During my internship, I gained a wealth of knowledge and skills as a sport nutritionist, learning how to assess and provide services to athletes in areas such as body composition, hydration, and diet recall. NSI also allowed me to lead nutrition classes with Paralympic athletes. The management at NSI was well-organized, with staff required to submit monthly reports to the Human Resources department. The working culture at NSI emphasized teamwork, with various departments collaborating to enhance athlete performance. The most challenging aspect of the job was monitoring athlete behavior to ensure compliance with dietary guidelines. However, the most enjoyable part of being a sport nutritionist was sharing knowledge and staying updated on new information and opportunities, including the chance for outstation assignments.
