Dapur Nyonya is a culinary off-shoot from the passionate creators of the famed Old China Cafe and Precious Old China Restaurant to offer lovers of Malaccan Nyonya food a convenient spot to savour authentic delicacies.

And what is Nyonya food without pork dishes? Over here, within the shopping haven of Bukit Bintang at Lot 10's famed food court, Dapur Nyonya serves unique Malaccan  dishes with a twist like Devil Curry Siew Yuk. Combining the spiciness of the hot curry of the south of the Malay Peninsula with Chinese roast pork, this is one of the rare places where you can taste this culinary highlight.

And speaking of twist, the rice here is cooked with coconut cream tinged with the natural blue colour from essence of the local peaflower. Whether you choose to eat the blue rice with Devil Curry Siew Yuk, Devil Curry Chicken, Nyonya Fried Chicken or Beef Rendang (curried beef) with shredded Kaffir lime leaves, the unmistakeable flavours of each dish will stay with you till your next visit.

But if it is Nyonya Laksa that you are craving -- infused with the best belachan (shrimp paste) from Malacca -- then look no further. The gravy is just "lemak" enough with santan (coconut cream) and the bits of fresh ginger bud will add another dimension to your tastebuds. But be sure to squeeze the piquant juice from your lime over your beancurd, cucumber slivers, beansprouts, prawns and half a hard-boiled egg for a slurpingly good meal.

And among the great snacks or hors d'oeuvres of the Baba Nyonya community, the laboriously-made Pie Tee is a must-try. Resembling mini-top hats, these tiny, crispy rice-flour cones are filled with shredded sengkuang (local sweet turnip), cucumber and carrot and garnished with chopped spring onion and fried shallot.
