Bubble Motion Sdn Bhd 简介

Bubble Motion Sdn Bhd was formed in July 2003 with funding from MAVCAP, a venture fund set up by the Government of Malaysia to promote technology in the Information and Communication segments.Bubble Motion (BM) develops a platform that helps mobile wireless (GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, CDMAone, WiFi) operators develop and deploy sophisticated applications over their networks. Technically, these applications belong to a class of applications called “context-aware” applications. Context aware applications can dynamically change their behavior based on information available about the players (e.g. users, participants in a call, etc.) and the environment (e.g., network traffic, ambient noise level, etc.). BM has applied for patents that would help implement context-aware applications efficiently.The BM platform essentially consists of a cPCI (PICMG 2.0) chassis with multiple E1/T1 and SS7 cards, media processing cards and general processor cards, running Red Hat Linux 9.0, or Carrier Grade Linux from Red Hat. For smaller operators and for enterprise applications the BM platform is based on 2U rack servers with SS7 cards.

 

The product development efforts of Bubble Motion can be best summarized as follows:1. Development of a platform (consisting of both hardware and middleware, together known as “B-CORE”) to run context-aware applications on mobile operator network .2. Development of a scale-down version of B-CORE for enterprises, known as B-BOX. 3. Development of a platform (consisting of both hardware and software, together known as “B-CONN”) to run context-aware applications on handheld devices.4. Development of a Software Development Kit (“SDK”) to facilitate the development, test and deployment of context-aware applications.5. Development of context-aware applications using features supported by B-CORE.
