A chamber of commerce is a very historic institution which dates back to the early 17th century and traditionally these groups were set up to help local traders. Fast forward to the 21st century and we find that chamber are now re-engineered business entities that help thrive and drive trade in a global playground. We pride ourselves on having the ability to feel the pulse of members to ensure we remain relevant.
Established in 1964, The British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) is a dynamic bilateral trade organisation based in Kuala Lumpur with over 210 corporate members involved in a wide range of industry sectors, including engineering, construction, automotive, oil & gas, energy, telecoms, IT, education, training, retail, hospitality, publishing, financial services, banking, insurance and corporate services. Membership includes some of the best-known international brands including HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Rolls-Royce, UEM, Shell and many others.
Britain and Malaysia have a long history of successful trade. This success is as strong today as it ever was, with an increasing number of opportunities opening up for British and Malaysian companies to do business, both in Malaysia and overseas.
