Alzheimer's Disease Foundation Malaysia 简介

Alzheimer's Disease Foundation Malaysia is a non-profit organisation set up to promote awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and to help dementia patients and their families living in Malaysia. The Foundation operates through the Secretariat located in PJ and the Alzheimer's Care Centre (daycare) located in Taman Seputeh, KL. The main areas of work are in Awareness, Support Group, Pre-Diagnostic Screening, the Care Centre and Training.Alzheimer's Disease is not part of normal ageing. It is a degenerative disease that attacks and destroys the brain cells. The disease starts with the parts that control thought, memory and language, but eventually spreads to the entire brain and affects all functions. There is no cure to date but some medical treatment is available.
