Role Description The Front Office Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at a Marriott property in Putrajaya. This role oversees daily front office operations, including managing the reception desk, supervising front office associates, and ensuring smooth check-in, check-out, and guest inquiry processes. The Front Office Manager monitors guest satisfaction, resolves escalated issues, and coordinates closely with housekeeping, reservations, and other hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest experience. Typical responsibilities include staff scheduling, training and performance management, maintaining accurate records and reports, managing cash and billing procedures, and enforcing brand standards and service protocols. The role also involves analyzing front office performance metrics, implementing service improvements, and supporting the hotel leadership team in achieving occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction targets.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Front Office operations and Office Administration, including managing reception activities, record keeping, and workflow coordination.
  • Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a track record of handling guest inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high service standards.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
  • Previous experience in hotel front office or hospitality management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team, manage schedules, and support performance development.
  • Solid organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Comfort with hotel property management systems and basic proficiency in standard office software.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
