Marketing Executive

Retail, Digital & Trade Marketing

Location: Ipoh, Perak
Full-Time | Permanent

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Executive to manage and execute marketing activities across our distribution and retail businesses.

This is a practical, execution-focused marketing role covering retail promotions, social media, digital content, promotional materials, catalogues and trade marketing.

You will work closely with management, sales teams, retail operations, suppliers and external partners to turn promotions and marketing ideas into actual campaigns and materials.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Promotions

• Plan and execute monthly, seasonal and festive marketing campaigns
• Develop promotions to support retail stores, sales teams and key product categories
• Coordinate promotional mechanics, pricing, products and campaign timelines
• Work with suppliers and brand principals on joint promotions and marketing activities
• Prepare marketing materials for new products, special offers and company initiatives
• Track campaign activities and basic results

Social Media & Digital Content

• Manage and maintain company social media channels
• Plan a regular social media content calendar
• Create posts for products, promotions, festive campaigns and company activities
• Write simple and engaging captions and marketing copy
• Create short-form photo and video content for social media
• Respond to and coordinate basic online enquiries where required
• Support online advertising and boosted campaigns

Design & Marketing Materials

• Design and update:
• Promotional flyers
• Posters and banners
• Product catalogues
• Price lists
• Social media posts
• Digital advertisements
• In-store promotional materials
• Sales presentation materials
• Maintain consistent branding across marketing materials
• Coordinate with printers and external designers when required
• Ensure promotional information, pricing and product details are accurate before publication

Retail Marketing

• Support marketing activities and promotions for our retail business
• Develop in-store promotional materials and displays
• Coordinate festive and seasonal campaigns
• Work with retail operations on product highlights and promotional displays
• Help improve how products and promotions are presented to customers both in-store and online

Trade & Sales Marketing

• Prepare promotional materials to support the sales team
• Develop product catalogues and customer-facing sales materials
• Communicate supplier promotions and new product launches
• Support trade campaigns and customer promotions
• Assist with events, exhibitions, roadshows and customer activities when required

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, Digital Media, Graphic Design or related field
• Preferably 1–3 years of marketing experience
• Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio and good practical skills are welcome to apply
• Comfortable working with Canva; Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop skills are an advantage
• Able to create basic social media photos and short-form videos
• Good written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Mandarin is an advantage but not compulsory
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple marketing tasks
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines

• Creative but practical – you understand that marketing must ultimately help generate sales
• Commercially aware – you notice products, prices, promotions and what attracts customers

• Resourceful – you can take an idea and figure out how to execute it
• Comfortable with both offline and online marketing
